Privacy notice
This notice describes the current static website. Operator details and email handling policies must be completed before a commercial launch.
Who we are
Acing provides free study, career and business tools and guides at acing.co.uk. For any privacy question or request, email hello@acing.co.uk.
Text you enter into our tools
Some tools run entirely in your browser: the revision timetable generator, exam countdown, conversion rate calculator and website checklist. What you enter in those is never sent to us.
Other tools, such as the CV checker, cover letter generator, STAR answer builder, interview question generator, flashcard maker and pitch tools, send the text you enter to our server to produce your result. That text is processed automatically on Cloudflare's network to create your result and is then discarded. We do not save it, link it to you or use it for marketing. Please do not paste sensitive details you do not need, such as your home address, phone number or health information. Remove them from a CV before you check it.
Our lawful basis for processing this text is our legitimate interest in providing the tool you asked to use.
Saved in your browser
Some tools remember your entries, such as subjects and exam dates, in your own browser's local storage so they are there next time. This stays on your device; clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies or fingerprinting and does not track you across other websites.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use IP addresses briefly to stop the tools being overloaded; they are not stored by us.
Emails
If you email us, we use your message only to reply. We delete enquiries we no longer need.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. Email hello@acing.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
